We are Home...

We made it home Sunday afternoon! Cal seems like a completely different child now! He still couldn't go back to daycare just yet, but we have our follow-up appointment in the morning (Wednesday) and hopefully we will be cleared for daycare!

Here are some pics from our hospital experience....

When a room finally came open, Cal got to ride in the wagon from the ER to his room. He really liked that! And he held on to the pulse ox monitor to make sure it didn't fall out!

In his crib/cage. It was such a pitiful thing. He was such a pitiful thing for the rest of Thursday and most of Friday. He would just lay in the bed and watch whatever movie or cartoon we had on for him. I will say this...the Children's Hospital is GREAT as far as having FREE movie and children's TV show choices. We watch Toy Story 3, The Princess and the Frog, Planet 51, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, and many others! Repeatedly...oh and many episodes of Handy Manny. They also had several movies that Brad and I watched when Cal was asleep...we watched The Bounty Hunter one night and Have You Heard About The Morgans another night! So, I was very pleased! HA!
Poor baby...
Dr. Cal! He was obsessed with the stethoscope and he knew exactly where it was supposed to go! The sweet nurses were even calling him Dr. Cal by the end of our stay. :)
Once he was able to be unhooked from the IV and the pulse ox monitor during the day, he could get down and play a little. On each floor at the Children's Hospital, they have an activity room with all kinds of things to play with. Well, Cal was technically in isolation, so he couldn't go down to the room, but we could bring something to him. We got this little car. He LOVED it. We rode up and down the halls every chance we got!
I just want to end with a HUGE THANK YOU to our great friends prayed and kept us with us during all of this, for the food, snacks, and goodies, for the wonderful staff at the hospital, and to our AMAZING pedtirician who has been so thorough and more than just a doctor to us this past week! :)
