Trick or Treat!

Halloween was definitely interesting this year....Cal ate it up! He was Buzz Lightyear was wore his costume every chance he got. I waited until we actually went trick or treating to break out the wings, and he was super pumped. Even though he was a little disappointed that he couldn't fly. And he tried, believe me. But he got over it real fast. The weekend before Halloween, the church had a little Trunk-r-Treak deal in the parking lot. We went with Delancey and her mom and FROZE! We thought it was going to be inside, in different classrooms on the kids wing, but we were wrong! We actually got there too early and went and killed time at Bass Pro until time to go back. Bass Pro has a little Peanuts setup for photos! So we took them to do that and then went back. We didn't make it long after we got back. We rode the train, got a hotdog and popcorn, and that's about it! Oh - we did see Santa! Go figure...

Anyways...

Poor babies, sun was in their eyes and then when we tried to get them to face the other way, they were so over it! That's when we decided to go to Bass Pro!
(Delancey was a garden gnome! How cute is that?!)
This was the Peanuts set up at BP. It's similar to the Santa photos, you get a free 4x6 with options to order more...but we just missed the lady who was taking the pics. So we took our own! I did take him back the next day to get a printed one in regular clothes! :)
Back at Trunk or Treat, and yes, that's Santa. ??? And Cal looks scared, but he really wasn't...just bad photo timing. He jumped right up there and was telling him all about Buzz Lightyear.
Halloween Night.....he got his wings!!!! And as you can see, was trying to fly.
And now you can see the disappointment when he realized he couldn't fly...
2nd Annual traditional photo op in the chair on the front porch...

 Practicing before hitting the streets...

Cal and his friend, Wilkes...they were so funny checking each other out and poking at the costumes!
Bout to hit up the Vinsons!

Mrs. Sorena gave him all kinda of goodies...a dinosaur, play handcuffs, a toothbrush!
Cal loves him some Mrs. Sorena, Mr. Cris, Onsby, and Stella!!!

Meeting up with Delancey back on our street. She was a witch to go trick or treating
At Mrs. Lori's...she game Cal a special little bag just for him also! It has this awesome glow sword, which he LOVED! And was so sad when it stopped glowing!
Back at home, playing with the handcuffs! He had a blast, and only got scared once...there was an older boy in front of us at one point that did have on a scary mask. But other than that, we had a great time!
 Mama and her Buzz!
Last year and this year.....wonder what Toy Story character we can be next year?!? :)

Pumpkin Patch 2012 (Warning: Pic overload)

We hit up 2 different Pumpkin Patches this year...and had a blast at both. The first was the little one in Macon, which was much better than I expected! :) And the second was the big Nichols-Boyd Pumpkin Patch on Highway 43. This was with his class....his first official field trip!!!! Like rode the school bus and everything! They loaded each child's carseat on the bus. All parents followed in our own cars. I'll admit that I was teary eyed the whole time I was following the bus, because it made me realize that my baby is such a big boy now! Anyway....we had so much fun with all his little friends and their parents. Picture time....and it's a lot! :)

This was the Pumpkin Patch in Macon. I didn't think I've ever get him away from these "HUGE" tires!
He loved them!
 The corn was another hit...
And of course, the slide! Got to love some Macon engineering!
 Going on the Hay Ride
Stopping to check out the sunflowers...

Time to pick our pumpkin....which was an ordeal! He had to pick up and check out every single one...

 Finally got one!
_________________________________________________________________________________
This was the field trip with his class. As most of you probably know, it's nearly impossible to get a good group picture with this many 3/4 year olds...but this is the best I got...

We got to see several animals first...and Cal was terrified of this big turkey, so he was weary about having his back to him so I could get a picture...

Here we go again trying to pick out a pumpkin...it was morning time, so they were all still wet from dew, and Cal did not like that one bit!

More sunflowers!

The hay maze...he loved this. All the kids did!

More corn...I was really surprised how much he liked to play in the corn! :)

These were some interesting little swings, but he jumped right up there and held on!

There were so many other stops, but I didn't have a chance to get pictures, but we didn't get off the trailer. We stopped at a pond and watched the fish get fed. He loved to see them splashing up to get that food. We stopped in a pasture of cows, and the man lead the cow all around the trailer for each kid to see up close. The cow kept trying to eat the hay. Then we stopped to see more goats, and then a Zedonk! Which is a mix between a zebra and donkey....obviously! I hate I didn't get a good picture! Cal still talks about that Zedonk.

 Snack time after the ride!

A few more photo ops before loading the bus!

Several parents who went checked their child out afterwards and they were able to leave with Mom and/or Dad. I only took the morning off, so I was scared that Cal would want to go with me when he saw all his friends leaving with their Moms/Dads. But that thought never even crossed his mind! He was so excited about riding that school bus and when it was time to load back up, he was the first in line! I really think that was he favorite part of the whole trip! HA!

I'm so thankful for such a great daycare that does so many wonderful things, such as this trip, for the kids!

The Fair 2012

As always, we LOVE when the fair comes to town! Our favorite is the little petting zoo, but this year Cal really got into some of the rides! He also really enjoyed the pig races! Lauren was able to come over and go with us one night, and we had a blast!

He actually rode the little pony this year! :)

Waiting on the Pig Races to start!
 Holding on tight!
Sorry for poor quality...it was hectic trying to get one of us
Lauren and Cal walking up to go down the big slide....he LOVED it!!!!

Eating Lauren's ice cream!
