Sick of the rain!

I am so sick of this rain!!! I really don't think it'll ever go away!! There are so many roads in town that are flooded and parts of the high school don't have electricity, so there are kids just sitting in the auditorium! And all the junior high football games for this week have been canceled, cause they don't want to absolutely tear the field up before the game Friday night...which was supposed to be homecoming, but it's been moved back! There is no way that the girls could get out on that field in their dresses, especially after a half of football!! UGH!!

And this past Friday night was no better!! I was so excited to go to the Columbus game! Hannah was riding with me and Mom was going to keep Cal. We loaded up and went to Macon to drop him off and then on to Columbus to do a little shopping and eat at Pepper's before the game. We get to Columbus and about the time we walk out of Belk, the bottom just fell out!!! It was awful! We went on to Pepper's and about that time Brad text saying we might as well go home cause if we even played it was going to be really late getting started. I was so bummed. We finished eating and just sat there contemplating what to do. About 7:30 (when the game was supposed to start), we decided to go on back. We get to Macon, get Cal, get out on Highway 14 and then Brad called! The game was going to start at 8:45. I almost came to a complete stop in the road, looked at Hannah, and we just grinned...I called Mom and she said yeah, bring him on back! HA!! We took Cal back to Mom's and headed BACK to Columbus!!! Too funny! We missed the 1st quarter, but it was well worth it! It only sprinkled during the 2nd quarter, and by halftime, the rain was gone!! The wildcats played so much better and I was so pumped about being there...missing 3 in a row was starting to get to me! HA!

Plus, Brad had no idea we came back! After the game, we walked down to the outside of the locker room and he saw me out of the corner of his eye as they were walking in! He just smiled from ear to ear...he was pretty pumped I came back too!!

Ok, just had to vent about the rain for a while! Maybe it'll go away now!
